Overview of Governance in WeST
WeST Community Councils (WeST CCs) is the new name for our revised local governance model launching across our schools from 1 September 2025. These WeST CCs will bring together parents and carers, staff, and community members to support and challenge schools in four key areas: safeguarding and inclusion, behaviour and ethos, curriculum enrichment, and staff wellbeing.
By embedding stakeholder voices into decision-making, WeST CCs aim to ensure governance is more responsive, representative, and rooted in the needs of each school
